Schuyler (pronounced “Skylar”) is a female French Bulldog who turned one on January 22, so her parents reached out to do a birthday session together. They actually live in Virginia, but visit Austin occasionally. As dog friendly as Austin is, this was probably the perfect place for a birthday pup celebration! They let me know that they wanted to bring a letter board that says “What fluffin’ fun, the bad bitch is one!” for our session and it was at that moment that I knew I had found my people. Our aim was to get some good photos of Schuyler by herself, as well as some family shots, too. I think we succeeded! They were staying at the Hotel Van Zandt, so we took advantage of the options there and did photos in the lobby, the pool, and outside. I love how these turned out! I’d definitely love to do some more urban shoots with pets – wink wink – again!
Kirsten was amazing to work with from start to finish! I chose her because I loved the examples of her work I saw on Instagram. She is very organized and provided an informational booklet summarizing everything about her services and tips for the photo shoot, which was very helpful. We absolutely love the final photos. Our young dog was so excited during the shoot, and I was shocked that Kirsten was able to take such amazing photos despite not having much to work with. Highly recommend!
